How2fundraise.org was launched on 11 June 2008 by the Institute of Fundraising with support from the Vodafone UK foundation and Office of the Third Sector. The aim for the site is to provide best practice advice, support and inspiration for volunteer fundraisers in the UK.

Since then, more than 100,000 people have visited us online. Over the past twelve months, we’ve responded to around 1,000 “Contact Us” enquiries, listed hundreds of volunteer fundraising events that you’ve posted on the how2fundraise.org Events Calendar and added dozens of how2guides and knowhow pages.

We’d like to take our first anniversary as an opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has helped with the site so far, whether by contributing, advertising, promoting or simply recommending us to a friend.

It’s estimated that as much as a quarter of the UK population will be involved in a volunteer fundraising activity this year, raising hundreds of millions of pounds for charities and good causes around the word. If you’re one of that quarter, and there’s something you think we’re not currently addressing on how2fundraise.org, please let us know!
