Everyclick and Clear Channel Outdoor launch Charities Challenge

On 15 October, Everyclick and Clear Channel Outdoor launched the 2009 Everyclick Charities Challenge, a competition that encourages charities to boost their fundraising efforts whilst competing to win the largest charity competition prize in the UK - a high-profile advertising campaign across 1,500 Clear Channel Outdoor sites.

Charities can register now for the challenge at www.everyclick.com/awards, where they will be placed in one of three charity categories (small, medium or large, depending upon their income). Has the charity you fundraise in aid of registered yet?

How it works

The six month challenge period started on 15 October and ends on 31 March 2009. Throughout this time Everyclick will keep a tally of how much is being raised for each charity via their supporters’ online fundraising - so your fundraising efforts could help win it for your cause!

Five charities within each category will be selected based upon the amount of money raised through Everyclick during the competition period as a proportion of each charities declared income in addition to the amount raised per supporter. The finalists will then be judged by a panel of independent sector experts who will select three category winners and an overall winner who will receive the prize of a free national outdoor advertising campaign.

The panel will judge the entrants on money raised and the innovative and imaginative ways they have encouraged their supporters to use Everyclick.

Last year's winner

The 2009 competition is being launched to coincide with the 2008 winner’s advertising campaign. In June, Diabetes UK was crowned Everyclick Charities Challenge champion, and the charity has been quick to implement its poster campaign, “Measure Up”, which raises awareness of diabetes risk factors and encourages the public to take a diabetes test. This campaign is running at 1,500 Clear Channel Outdoor poster sites across the country now. It will be viewed an estimated 192 million times through the duration of the campaign.

The winner of each category also receives free advertising on Everyclick.

The winners will be announced in May 2009. To see the winning entry from Diabetes UK last year, please visit - http://www.everyclick.com/diabetesuk
