Not quite ready for a marathon, but willing to put your best foot forward for a worthy cause? How about combining an amazing physical challenge in the great outdoors with the valuable opportunity to help end child cruelty?
NSPCC has been running its popular HACK (Hike Against Cruelty to Kids) events since 2005. Over the past four years, walkers, volunteers and supporters taking part in these popular circular walks in stunning locations have raised almost £250,000.
2009 will see the charity launch its biggest year of HACK to date, with five sponsored challenge walks taking place throughout the UK. All walks are approximately 25 miles in length, and every penny raised will be used to support the 180 NSPCC projects and services across the UK and Channel Islands.
The five sponsored walks will take place as follows:
HACKs are spaced so that the more intrepid can take part in more than one and teams as well as individuals are welcome to enter, but places are limited. You can register online by following this link.
