Letter to the editor template

Send your local paper regular progress updates or just a one-off letter.

This page is intended to act as a prompt, helping you create your own personalised letter. You’ll see more tips on writing successful letter in the letter text and on the right of the screen.

It’s the wackier the better when it comes to telling local papers and their readers of your plans, so ensure you give full details as part of your letter.Remember, you can always write a follow up letter to the editor once you’ve completed your challenge, to let readers know how well you’ve done.
