Cake auctions: Introduction
Everyone loves cakes (well almost) and lots of people like baking them, so they make a really good item to auction.

Cake auctions are most often held as part of a larger event, otherwise you may find it difficult to gather a large enough crowd.
People make and decorate cakes (the more creative the better!) and these are auctioned to guests. A particularly good time to hold this activity is between the main and pudding courses of a dinner.
