Many volunteer fundraisers have found abseils an excellent way to raise money as well as an unforgettable day of challenge and adrenaline. You can find a provider that allows you to attend individually or you can get together a team of around 30 people and have your own private event.
An abseil can either be run as a sponsored event, or a pay to participate event, or a combination of both.
For some people, the basic cost of doing an abseil might be too high, and running it as a sponsored event enables participants to undertake a challenge they would not normally have access to, and raise money for a charity at the same time.
Those people who need to fundraise to cover the basic cost, and raise funds for the cause as well, may find they can't meet their target from sponsorship alone. They may need to plan a series of simple fundraising activities that provide a welcome service to others, such as cakes sales, car washes and quizzes.
